Dinner Time

The twins are really taking to eating. They get so excited when it's time to eat. They also look cute in their little chairs.

Dancing Time

The girls had their dance performance in June. Both did an amazing job. It's fun watching how they are both growing up and learning new things.

Father's Day

We had Jeff's family over on Father's Day for a little dinner. I just wanted to put my two cents worth in about what a wonderful father Jeff is. He has always been a great husband, but seeing him be a great dad with our kids makes me love him even more. He has especially shown his love and sacrifice with our twins. He gets up every night with Spencer, even now, and then has to go to work. Bless his heart. He works and tries so hard to do everything he can for our family, and I really appreciate it. We love you Jeff.

Jump'n for Fun

We went to Jump on It with Jeff's Mom and Suzanne and Cayden. It was tons of fun. So fun that we took my sister-in-law Wendy and her kids there when they came to visit us. My kids loved jumping and learning new tricks, and it kept them busy for an hour.

City Fesitvals

There is one thing about our area, there is never a lack of city spirit. Every city seems to have it's own summer festival, complete with park activities, parades, and fun. The nice thing about it is all of the cities are close by, so we can go to as many festivals as we want. Last year, when we were first here, I felt like we were missing out on things if we didn't go to all of the celebrations (which we didn't because I was sick and pregnant). This year we have gone to a few, but I realized that they will be there again next year so I haven't felt stressed about needing to go. We did have fun at the two we went to though, and that was enough for this year.

Seven Months!

Memorial Day

On Memorial day we decided to have the kids visit my grandparent's grave. They never had a chance to do that in Kansas, and it was good for them to learn about the meaning of the day, and the importance have having respect while in a cemetary. We went with my parents to put flowers on the graves, and then we went on a short, but strenuous hike up to Ensign peak. The day was great.

Soccer, soccer, soccer

Spring was filled with soccer games every Saturday. Ashley, Emily, and Parker were all playing, which made for lots of time outside. Jeff and I had to take turns attending games because the weather was usually too cold or too hot for the babies. It was fun watching the kids play, but we were glad when we had our Saturdays back.

Hospital Time Again

Despite all efforts to keep the babies well, Spencer caught a virus in May that got him admitted to one hospital, and then life-flighted to another hospital. It wasn't RSV, which I was glad about because he'd been getting a shot every month for five months to keep him from getting that, but the virus he did get caused the same reaction. He was pretty sick, and it was very scary, but luckily he recovered pretty quickly. He went in on a Saturday and was home on Wednesday. He's quite the trooper too. All of the nurses thought he was the happiest baby they'd had.

Neighborhood Dirt Pile

So we live next to an empty lot that our neighborhood had made into a community garden. It's fun to look out and see all of the different things people are growing. Well, one day someone came and dumped a huge pile of dirt in the lot. At first we thought someone else bought the dirt so we told our kids to stay out of it, but after a few weeks with no one claiming or using the dirt, it became fair game. All of the kids in the neighborhood had a ball.

Swing Time

Spencer and Ethan enjoyed their first real time in the swings they got for Easter. They looked cute sitting there next to each other.

Visiting the Great Grandmas

For Mother's Day we took the twins around to see their great-grandmas. They hadn't been there before because either the babies or the grandmas were sick. It was fun seeing them, and the grandmas were excited to see the babies.

Spring and Summer catch up

Ashley is such a sweetheart! We got to attend an activity days fashion show where the girls all wore the skirts they made during a previous activity. It was a fun night. The best part, though, was watching how happy Ashley was. Letting each kid have special times on their own with mom and dad is so important. She just soaked up the attention, and we soaked up her fun personality.
