Crazy Babies

Life is definitely exciting with twins. When they were tiny, they were a lot of work because we constantly had to feed, change diapers, and hold them. Now that they are mobile, life has gotten more interesting. We still have to feed, change, and hold them, but now we have to pick up after them too. Though they are a little wild, we love them and think they are adorable. Here are some pictures of the two trouble makers. I especially like the one where E. get's himself stuck in this glass bucket we have.

Snow fun!

It's been a very warm and mild winter, something I am not going to complain about, but it has been a bit boring for the kids. So in mid-January when it finally decided to snow, albeit 2-3 inches, the kids went out to enjoy it.

Cutting Spencer and Ethan's hair

So I let my twin's hair grow out because they had so much of it, and I thought it was cute. Jeff kept wanting to cut it, but I wouldn't let him. Other told me not to cut it as well, because getting a haircut would make them start to look grown up. Well, when I put a bow in their hair for fun, and they both looked just like a girl, I decided it was time. Here are the results.

Emily's Friend Party

Emily is such a patient child when it comes to some things. She diligently works on her homework and practicing until it's done. She helps with the babies even when she is tired, and she celebrates her birthday with friends a few weeks after the day because New Year's eve is just a busy day. We had a fun time having some friend over for a late night, and most importantly Emily had fun.

Emily's bday and baptism

So Emily's birthday is Dec. 31st which means there is always something going on. For two years now we've gone to Boondocks with Jeff's parents so the kids could play, and so that Emily could get in free and feel special on her birthday. This year was a special birthday because she turned 8 and was baptized the following week. Emily looked to sweet on her baptismal day. She was so excited too. I feel so lucky to be her mother. She is such a wonderful little girl who has a strong desire to do what is right. She really is awesome!

Anniversary and Christmas

So December is a crazy month for our family. Besides the usual holiday activities, we have two birthdays and an anniversary to celebrate. Most years the anniversary has to be postponed due to celebrating Carter's birthday which is the same day, or because of holiday parties or programs. Well this year we were lucky enought to get away on our own. It was such a nice break, and we were grateful for family who were willing to watch the kids. Anyway, we had a great time, and got back just in time to get ready for Christmas. Christmas turned out fun as well. We spent Christmas Eve is my family and ate Christmas dinner with the Blairs. We've never had to do the whole family balancing act before, but luckily we have great, understanding families. Anyway, it was a good holiday.
