Coloring Eggs
Another favorite Easter tradition is coloring eggs. Every year we try to get it done early in the day, but for some reason, we always seem to end up coloring eggs in our pjs.
Easter Egg Hunt
Easter is a wonderful time of year. We love the coming of Spring, we love the fun of hunting for Eggs, and we love the celebration of the Savior's gift to us. Easter is just a nice time all around. This year our kids had fun participating in the city egg hunt. I was worried at first about being in a huge crowd, but the hunt was very organized and manageable. Everyone had a great time.
Favorite toy
So Spencer and Ethan love this blowing ball toy we have. They love watching the balls pop out of the top, and they love feeling the air blow on their face. They even love the annoying music if plays. Unfortunately, they also love putting everything and anything into the ball popper. If I ever can't find something, I look there first to see if they have successfully gotten the item into the machine. One of their favorite things to put in the ball popper is their toothbrushes.
Playing with their food
Feeding the twins is never dull at our house. They have decided that they need to feed themselves now, which makes for a very messy meal most of the time. They also love to throw their food, especially if they don't like it very much, or if they are done eating. You have to be on your toes to know when they are done so you can grab any excess food off their trays. If you are not fast enough, you will be cleaning it off the floor instead. This of course if very frustrating, and I'd probably be getting very mad at them except for the fact that they are so darn cute. Lucky for them.
March Fun
March is always a funny month because you never know if it's going to be warm or cold. Well, on one particular warm day, the kids got a special treat because Jeff got the 4-wheeler out and took them for a ride. They had a blast enjoying the ride and the weather. Even the babies got to get out of the house. We also had fun this year when a leprechaun visited out house on St. Patricks Day. Carter and Parker both made traps at their schools. Parker's was left at school, but a leprechaun left his footprint on the trap. Carter's trap came home with him, and we found candy inside in the morning. The kids were very exicited about that.
Taylor's birthday
So Taylor had fun celebrating his birthday a few times. We had a party with the Blair's, a cake with the Koller's, and a friend party where he went to a trampoline place with some friends. It's hard to believe that I actually have a teenager. Where has the time gone. He is a great kid, a we are glad to be his parents.
Smores in the backyard
For Christmas Jeff got a firepit. It was kind of a surprise gift that came from the Thanksgiving sales, but it has turned out to be a fun thing. One evening Jeff decided it would be fun to do smores, so we got it all set up in the yard. It was freezing outside, but the kids didn't care. Jeff and I took turns sitting outside with the kids since it was too cold for the babies to go outside. The poor things had to stay inside and watch, something they were not too happy about. We look forward to many more smores.
