April Fools

I'm not a good trickster, but I do like doing things with food. For April Fools Day we had fish sticks (cookies) and cupcakes (meatloaf and potatoes. The kids loved it.

Five Months! and more clothes

The twins reached five months! It's hard to believe that is has been that long. I guess time flies when you are really busy. Anyway, they are really growing.

Getting out and having fun

A couple of saturdays ago I took the kids out for some fun. We haven't been out a lot since the babies were born, so it was nice leaving the house. Jeff stayed home to do projects while I took the kids to my parent's house. I left the twins and Carter with their grandparents, and then took the older four to see Karolee's goat's and a gem and mineral show. The kids loved the goats so much that I almost couldn't convince them to go to the gem and mineral show. We did finally getg there, and the kids enjoyed getting some of their own rocks and watching them get polished. It was a nice day.

St Patrick's Day!

Though not quite as exciting as in Kansas, we had our own fun on St. Patrick's Day. Green pancakes for breakfast, green clothes (of course), and green space creatures for dinner. Jeff and I actually got to go out to dinner that night with his parents and siblings while my parent's babysat. It was in celebration of Jeff's mom's birthday, so that was fun for us. The babies even had cute festive shirts we borrowed from a friend.

Special Sunday

March 13th was a pretty special Sunday for our family. Spencer and Ethan made their first appearance at church and were given wonderful blessings by Jeff. They were blessed in the Havest Hills 6th ward. It was a little stressful getting them to be happy before leaving, but they did pretty well. It was especially nice because we had a lot of family come to the blessing, and everyone was willing to hold a baby. This was a special thing for us because in Kansas we didn't have any family around to attend the blessings. Anyway, I am grateful to all of those who made an effort to come. The Giffords also came, and it was fun seeing them. In addition to the blessings, Taylor received the priesthood and became a deacon. That was very neat. I still can't believe he is already 12. He has and is becoming a great young man. Jeff and I both feel very blessed to have the children we have.

Taylor turns 12

For Taylor's birthday, he wanted to have a few friends over for dinner and a movie. The boys had fun making their own pizzas, goofing around in our basement, and watching a movie. The cake I made for him is supposed to be a reel of movie film, but only one kid guessed what it was. Oh, well. It was a nice attempt anyway, and the cake tasted good which is really what matters. Taylor had a lot of fun, and everything went smoothly (thanks to my mom for taking care of the babies).
