The day after our tiny Ethan came home, Jeff and I went to see Spencer and find out what the results of his post-surgery test went. The test was to done to see if the surgery worked. Well it was successful, and we got to hold him for the first time. It was so wonderful to actually put him in our arms. He still couldn't have a feeding tube put in because the doctors were afraid it might disturb the surgery site, so he had one more week of IV feeding, but at least he could be moved around a bit. That afternoon we had even more excitement because our car came in. We had searched and searched, and finally the guy who was helping us get a suburban with a bench seat found one in Illinois. We'd been waiting for it to be transported, and it had come in. This same day some great friends of ours came to look at, and buy our van. This was a big blessing for us. It was just kind of funny that within a half-hour time our car dealer showed up at our house with the new car, our friends showed up to buy our car, the home health guy showed up to switch out the oxygen Ethan had been given the day before because it was the wrong kind of machine, and our neighbor showed up with dinner. Talk about crazy. Taylor said, "There are like six people here to talk to my mom and dad." Imagine that, five excited kids, and a crying baby and you can understand our chaos that day. It was all good chaos though.
